Trauma and bio-hazard cleaning can only be carried out by cleaning specialists with the right expertise, safety procedures and support in place for teams that do sensitive and potentially stressful work.
SafeGroup has been providing a trauma and biohazard cleaning service for many years for clients that include transport providers, prisons and councils. We are trusted to deliver the service discretely and to the highest standard.
Trauma and bio-hazard cleaning takes many forms. All require high levels of skill, attention to detail, safe practice and sensitive application. That is why SafeGroup is called in to carry out such work across the UK.
Our teams work in care homes and hospitals to support in-house cleaning professionals, for example to carry out deep cleaning in response to norovirus outbreaks. We carry out crime scene cleaning and regularly respond to incidents of self-harm.
SafeGroup is also a leading provider of COVID-19 planned disinfection and emergency COVID-19 decontamination – helping clients protect people by reducing the risk of transmission of the virus at work and in public spaces across the UK (see more below).
SafeGroup delivers bio-hazard and crime scene cleaning for many businesses, agencies and public bodies across the UK. We work for FM companies, police forces, HM Prison Service, solicitors, social services, housing associations, transport providers, including bus and rail companies, and highways authorities. We have worked for some of the nation’s most recognisable names including The NHS.
Our personnel are all trained to use the latest cleaning equipment and chemical products. They follow strict policies and procedures established by SafeGroup to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
SafeGroup teams work to the highest possible standards to counter the many risks associated with trauma and bio-hazard cleaning. This includes carrying out having risk assessments and method statements for every project.

Our teams are highly experienced at working in live and crime scene environments. They can be trusted to be respectful and to act responsibly at all times when responding to the most challenging cleaning tasks.
That includes the safe containment and disposal of biological substances, such as bodily fluids and items it has come into contact with.
SafeGroup provides trauma and bio-hazard cleaning within framework agreements. This gives customers, such as facilities management companies, assurance that they can call in our specialist support at any time and we will deal with their most challenging cleaning tasks quickly, smoothly and thoroughly.

SafeGroup can deploy a range of advanced decontamination technologies, such as electrostatic spray systems and ozone cleaning.
We use both these decontamination technologies, and others, as appropriate to support clients requiring both planned and emergency COVID-19 cleaning, including Transport for London.
Electrostatic spraying delivers a very fine mist of ionised anti-microbial disinfectant, which provides enhanced coverage and longer-term protection against bacteria, viruses and fungi.
Ozone decontamination can be carried out in confined spaces, such as rooms or vehicles, for example buses, which have been contaminated with blood, faeces, vomit and other bodily fluids. It destroys bacteria, viruses and all other pathogens, and deodorises the space.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, a national bus company commissioned SafeGroup to provide an emergency ozone decontamination service at all depots in the UK.
All buses found to be contaminated with any bodily fluid undergoes the treatment. Thousands of buses were treated in the first 9 months alone.
Company staff, union representatives, and the travelling public were reassured that all possible measures were being taken to safeguard them.
We offer our biohazard cleaning services across the United Kingdom. At SafeGroup we have highly trained staff who specialise in biohazard cleaning.
