Our client, Ladbrokes Coral, called for urgent assistance late on Friday evening after its betting shop in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, was flooded during torrential rain.
An immediate response was essential. The interior of the premises was under six inches of water, forcing it to close and threatening serious damage.
Our flood recovery team was in Rotherham early Saturday morning. We then mobilised a second team to Worksop, Nottinghamshire, where another betting shop was flooded.
Our teams used wet vac machines, specialist disinfectants, air movers and dehumidifiers to remove water, then sanitise and dry the premises. Both clean-ups were completed in 8 hours.
Fast action prevented long-term damage. The flood clean-up operations were completed on the day of mobilisation. Ladbrokes Coral could reopen the shops on Sunday.
