Investment and business acquisitions expert Lee Mowle has joined the board of specialist reactive services provider SafeGroup Ltd, the parent company of CleanSafe Services, as a shareholder and Non-Executive Director.
He will play a pivotal role in advising the SafeGroup board as it pursues its exciting growth plans.
SafeGroup Managing Director Steve Broughton said: “Lee’s experience in building a very profitable manufacturing business, then supporting other entrepreneurs as a venture capitalist and management consultant will be a great asset for SafeGroup.

“We are an ambitious company, with significant opportunities ahead of us. I had been looking for someone who can give expert advice as we seek to take advantage of those opportunities, and Lee is absolutely the right person.”
SafeGroup has four divisions – CleanSafe Service, WasteSafe Services, PestSafe Services, and LegionellaSafe Services. Its emergency services are relied on by some of the UK’s largest businesses, including FM and waste management providers.
Lee is the second non-executive director to join SafeGroup in 2018. Martin Gammon, former Chief Operating Officer of FM giant OCS Group, has become the company’s Non-Executive Chairman.
“I am delighted to have been invited to join the board of SafeGroup,” said Lee. “It has a talented and experienced senior management team which is go-getting and has a strong desire for success.
“SafeGroup is also unique, in terms of its size, structure, and national reach, and operates in a sector where demand for its specialist services can only increase.
“The business wants to continue to grow organically but, by the nature of the FM service industry, there will be opportunities to expand through acquisition, and that is one area where I can certainly add value.”
Lee, a chartered accountant, started his business career at PwC where he gained significant experience in restructuring, turnaround and growth within a diverse range of businesses before going on to lead a very successful management buy-out and turnaround of his own.
SafeGroup is based in Coulsdon, South London, and has operational depots in Cannock, Staffordshire, Manchester, and Edinburgh.
Key services include fire and flood damage recovery, biohazard cleaning, specialist floor coating and anti-slip treatment, emergency waste removal, pest proofing, water compliance assessment, testing and monitoring, and legionella remedial work.
