The Challenge

SafeGroup was instructed by Sodexo to attend a site where an unmaintained grease trap had begun leaking and required specialist cleaning. Prior to mobilisation, all works were planned and Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) were provided.

Upon arrival, the engineer discovered that there were two grease traps requiring attention rather than the single unit originally specified. Both assets had accumulated significant waste deposits and required thorough cleaning to restore effective operation.

Our Response

SafeGroup quickly assessed the situation and agreed to undertake cleaning of both grease traps during the same visit. Demonstrating a commitment to customer service, the second grease trap was cleaned at no additional cost to the client.

The engineer carried out a full grease trap clean, removing accumulated waste and ensuring both units were left in a clean and serviceable condition. Additional waste containers were sourced during the visit to facilitate the safe removal and disposal of waste materials.

The Outcome

Both grease traps were successfully cleaned and restored to a high standard, improving their condition and operational performance. The client was able to resolve the leakage issue and benefit from the cleaning of both units without requiring a return visit.
