- Burst water main causes extensive flood damage in Shepherds Bush
- Shops, businesses and basement flats affected
- CleanSafe Services called for expert flood damage cleaning and drying
CleanSafe Services were called in after a water main burst in Shepherd’s Bush, West London.
Flood recovery teams were still working to stem the flow of water when CleanSafe Services operators arrived to begin the flood damage cleaning and drying process.
The flood caused a crater in Goldhawk Road and damaged shops, businesses, and basement flats.
Highly experienced in dealing with complex flood damage cleaning projects
The size of the flood required emergency services to close surrounding roads and help residents who had no water for three days after the water main burst.
CleanSafe Services Director Martin Bull said: “We are well known for our ability to manage complex flood damage cleaning projects, working in partnership with emergency services, drainage and pumping specialists, engineers and insurers. Our people have the right skills, and most importantly, the right attitude.”
The first task for Cleansafe Services operatives was to reassure shocked and upset business owners and residents that they have the skills and specialist equipment to resolve flood damage quickly and efficiently.
Flood-damaged stock inventory
CleanSafe Services technicians are currently taking detailed inventories of irreparably damaged stock, equipment and room/shop fittings.
Stephen Savill CleanSafe Services Business Development Manager said: “Taking an accurate inventory is essential when dealing with insurance companies. We will attempt to salvage what we can, but inevitably we will have to dispose of a large amount of water-damaged stock, fixtures and fittings. This will all be scrupulously recorded.”
Flood damage cleaning process for speedy restoration
CleanSafe Services is a member of the British Damage Management Association, and technicians are fully trained in the latest flood damage cleaning and drying procedures.
They will clean the damaged premises with specialist equipment and check for any structural damage which could cause the area to be unsafe. Then they will completely dry and dehumidify the entire area to prevent damp, mold, and odours.
“We clean and dry flood damaged buildings to such a high standard that shop and office fitters can come straight in and complete the necessary work to get businesses up and running as soon as possible,” said Stephen Savill.
