A builders clean and sparkle team from CleanSafe Services has been praised for its fast and efficient work to get an exciting new go karting centre ready for action.
Extreme cleaning specialist CleanSafe Services spent four days meticulously cleaning the TeamSport go karting track at Manchester Arena.
Time was of the essence. The CleanSafe team completed the builders clean and sparkle clean on a Wednesday, and the track opened on the Friday.
John Nixon, Project Manager for fit-out and construction specialist McCarthys, which was developing the go karting centre, said: “CleanSafe Services did an excellent job.
“They made a massive difference, in terms of carrying out the end-of-project builders clean quickly, safely and thoroughly.
“They’ve worked with us on other TeamSport go karting projects, with similar builders cleaning work in Cardiff and London, and we can trust them to get the job done.”
Builders clean in Manchester – for speed seekers
Working in partnership with McCarthys and their other contractors was key to successfully completing this builders clean in Manchester, said CleanSafe Operations Manager Brian Bowden.
He said: “At the end of a construction, refurbishment or fit-out project like this, time is of the essence. There are often other contractors working hard to complete their elements of the project.
“We then have to come in and work safely with them and around them, while focussing entirely on our aim of leaving the space so clean it could open to the public the minute we have finished and packed away our tools.”
A team of four specially-trained builders clean and sparkle clean specialists worked on the go karting project. The aim was to clear away and clean all dust and debris created during the construction process.
Areas in the venue cleaned during the process included the go karting track, a viewing gallery, the bar and café, changing rooms, toilets and staff offices.
Sparkling safety always a key priority
During a builders clean close attention is always taken to ensuring potentially hazardous items and materials are removed. These can include shards of metal, unused fixings and tool fittings, such as saw blades.
A sparkle clean is then carried out, with surfaces wiped clean with anti-bacterial and static-resistant commercial-quality cleaning products, so the space looks its absolute best.
The TeamSport go karting track at Manchester Arena is one of 19 such venues across the UK. It has a 550m split-level track allowing races to reach up to 40mph in electric-powered go-karts.
