  • Close to major transport links
  • Waste collection teams can be mobilised across the region within four to six hours
  • Faster emergency waste collection for Midlands customers
  • Response to growth in customer demand for emergency waste collection services

The opening of a new WasteSafe Services customer service centre in Cannock reflects the company’s commitment to their customers.

WasteSafe Services is one of the original same day, UK-wide reactive waste collection companies, and is available 24 hours a day. Driver/operators aim to be on site within four to six hours of an emergency call out, day or night.

Central location for emergency waste collection call-outs

The new Midlands customer service centre is located in Hawks Green Industrial Estate, a mile North East of Cannock town centre. It replaces the former site in Lichfield and provides a larger base for the company’s specialist vehicles and equipment.

The central location is essential for the company’s emergency waste collection service and was specially chosen for its easy transport links. It is close to the M6 Toll, the A5 and the Cannock Eastern Bypass. WasteSafe Services operates nationally and has four customer service centres.

Specialists in rapid response commercial waste collection

WasteSafe Services has developed an excellent reputation for its rapid response times and expertise in commercial unscheduled waste collection, especially freezer breakdowns and emergency product recalls. The company also specialises in rapid response hazardous and fly tipped waste collection, retail and construction waste collection.

WasteSafe Services is classed as an upper tier waste carrier by the Environment Agency, and is a category 3 ABP registered waste carrier with the Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency.

Purpose-designed and bespoke waste collections

All WasteSafe driver/operatives are fully trained to deal with all types of waste and will arrive onsite with the correct PPEs and equipment. WasteSafe Services food waste vans are purpose-designed and GPS tracked. They have a sealed load compartment with anti-bacterial liners that are easy to clean and minimise cross-contamination risks.

WasteSafe Services only works with trusted waste treatment facilities and recycling plants that treat food and other recycling waste in the most environmentally friendly way possible: processing the waste to turn it into energy or recycling it into other products. WasteSafe Services’ environmentally friendly waste disposal solutions comply with the waste hierarchy and are fully traceable and digitally recorded.

Ensuring business continuity is a priority

Fergus Healy, WasteSafe Services Director, said: “We understand the impact that unscheduled waste events have on a business’s operations and reputation. Condemned and contaminated food, sewage leaks, hazardous waste and rubbish that has been fly tipped on commercial premises must be removed immediately. Every hour that it remains in situ causes problems for a business.

“In an emergency, our customers trust us to get the job done. That is the nature of our business. We are well organised, dedicated and diligent, and we enable our customers to keep their businesses operating without a hitch.

“The new Midland service centre will increase our ability to offer a fast, nationwide reactive waste collection service.”

The SafeGroup works hard to facilitate business continuity. WasteSafe Services’ sister company, CleanSafe Services, provides a rapid response emergency cleaning service for business premises that have been damaged by flood, fire, vandalism or pests, or require emergency deep cleaning.
