Safe Group are now looking to recruit a New Business Sales Manager with a national remit. The business is entering a period of exciting growth and our unique product offering means we are a market leader in deep cleaning, decontamination services in the UK. You will be tasked to deliver new business in targeted sectors incorporating all the of services with particular attention to the core activity.

About the Role:

  • Sourcing new clients and developing new business opportunities for our core busines with target organisations
  • Contacting prospective clients and speaking with decision makers
  • Working collaboratively with the Strategic Sales Director to make sure you are targeting identified sectors and customers as part of the wider sales strategy
  • Managing new clients to grow, upsell and renew contractual arrangements in the future
  • Building a strong, in-depth product knowledge and company systems
  • Achieving monthly targets
  • Set and monitor progress towards the achievement of objectives and targets
  • Constantly monitor, record and review competitor activity and report in a way to allow best use of this information.
  • To liaise with all internal & external stakeholders to determine appropriate operations and service delivery
  • Educating clients to understand the features and benefits of our products and services
  • Creating quotes based on client requirements
  • Track all sales activity and ensure that quotations are aligned to pricing protocols
  • Ensure all new sales information is accurately and correctly captured on the CRM system
  • Produce monthly sales activity reports including revenue and gross margin projections
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Operation to ensure that all new sales opportunities are sold on the ability of the operation to deliver customer expectations
  • Ensures new business is correctly signed off with all departments – Finance, Operations
  • Coordinate mobilisation meetings for new business with internal stakeholders
  • Provide full visibility of the sales pipeline highlighting conversion probabilities
  • Implementing improvements in the sales process to drive better revenue outcomes
  • Acting as a spokesperson for the organisation at sales events and conferences
  • Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances

Knowledge and Skills required

  • B2B sales experience – working in highly reactive commercial environment
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills with clients at all levels
  • A proven track record of consistently achieving targets
  • Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong IT skills in CRM tools and ability to interrogate and present sales data
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to inspire sales and account management teams
  • Strong commercial awareness around pricing to deliver the required gross/net margins
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent client relationships
  • Develop clear relationship maps for all customers for appropriate account management
  • Previous working knowledge of planning work schedules for staff to attend jobs
  • An empathetic and understanding approach to operational challenges
  • Experience running successful marketing and brand awareness campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • A strong sense of how best to exploit company branding to maximum effect in the market
  • An excellent networker with high level interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff
  • Highly customer focussed and always looking to deliver a high quality of service for clients
  • Good attention to detail and ability to spot issues with data and recommend solutions
  • Capable of delegating duties and tasks to other staff and monitoring performance

  • Ability to hold employee and client information in the strictest confidence

Knowledge and Skills required

    • Good industry knowledge in the Specialist Cleaning and Waste sectors
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a new sales environment
    • Qualified to degree level and/or equivalent industry
